Clear teaching that moves toward meaningful use
Understand
Make the goal, essential knowledge, vocabulary and quality standard visible; explain, model and check for understanding.
Question
Use teacher and learner questions to diagnose, connect, examine evidence and pursue worthwhile uncertainty.
Practise
Rehearse, retrieve, draft, calculate, test, receive feedback, correct and re-attempt before full independence.
Apply & Reflect
Transfer learning to a new context, then compare evidence with criteria, revise and define the next action.
HOW THE SYSTEM WORKS
Consistent without becoming mechanical
What the Praxis is not
It is not a rigid five-part script, decorative wall poster, activity sequence or requirement that every lesson gives equal time to every verb.
What parents should notice
Learners can explain the goal, show practice and correction, justify application choices and identify what changed after feedback.
How it changes by age
Young children experience short, concrete cycles through play, language and guided exploration; older learners manage longer cycles, sources, critique, field methods and public work.

From framework to teacher-ready practice
Clarwyn’s leadership team is part of the 2026-27 Deeper Learning Alliance, a year-long professional community guided by the Deeper Learning Institute, a project of the Harvard Graduate School of Education. Clarwyn’s work in the Alliance focuses on translating the Clarwyn Praxis from a founding framework into a teacher-ready operating system – strengthening teacher planning, professional learning, classroom practice, student evidence and continuous improvement.
