Every Child Known brings together trusted adult relationships, attentive support and clear family communication. Adult-to-Student Relationship Mapping, supplied through Making Caring Common, helps the school notice when a learner may need a stronger connection so appropriate support can follow.

How known, connected, supported and included translate into clear commitments
Known
A responsible adult knows the learner’s strengths, interests, learning context and relevant support information.
Connected
The learner can identify at least one adult at school they would approach for help.
Supported
When help is needed, the learner is connected with the appropriate adult or specialist, with clear follow-up for the family.
Included
The learner participates meaningfully in learning, peer life, activities and routines.

How Relationship Mapping supports learners
Through a structured and confidential review, the school identifies learners who may need a stronger trusted-adult connection and arranges appropriate follow-up.
Support flow
Notice → listen and record facts → choose the correct route → assign owner and action → communicate appropriately → review effect.
Named adult by stage
Pre-K to Grade III: class or mother teacher. Grades IV-VII: Mentor Circle adult. Where formal support is needed, one designated member of staff coordinates the plan and family communication.
Clear boundaries
Relationship Mapping supports connection and early attention; it does not replace academic assessment, counselling, medical care or safeguarding procedures. Information is handled carefully and confidentially.

Making Caring Common
In partnership with Making Caring Common, a project of the Harvard Graduate School of Education, through the Caring Schools Network.
Making Caring Common resources strengthen Caring Community Learning, Mentor Circle, Adult-to-Student Relationship Mapping, student voice and the continuous review of Every Child Known.
The partnership supports Clarwyn’s own approach to care, belonging and trusted relationships across the school.
